28th August 2020

Dear Brethren & Friends

Christian greetings in Jesus’ Name.

I am pleased to tell you that our plans to reopen our church for Sunday worship is progressing nicely, thanks to our dedicated teams, leaders and volunteers.  Going forward I wish to inform you of the following:

  • Our service on Sundays will be live streamed and will be accessible by Zoom,     Facebook, YouTube and phone (please see attached details).
  • As previously indicated, congregants are required to wear a mask or face covering. However, where this is not possible, we ask that you wear a face shield.
  • Worshippers who are officially exempt from wearing a mask must carry their exemption notification with them to allow entry to the sanctuary.
  • Prayer meetings – see schedule below.

Our stewards and ministry teams are devoted to their work and I ask that you co-operate with them in order that they can serve you to the best of their abilities.

Once again let me thank you for your prayers and financial support of the ministry.  We are honoured to serve you as leaders, and we are committed to work for the progress of our church.

Kind regards,

Yours in His Service

17th March 2020

Dear Brothers, Sisters & Friends

Christian greetings in the names of our Lord Jesus.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is undoubtedly the greatest challenge the world has had to face certainly since the 2nd world war. It is now a global pandemic and thousands of lives are being lost. The scientific calculations are that this country could potentially loose 250,000 lives if drastic measures are not taken to prevent its spread. The threat is impacting all areas of society, and the government has stipulated that mass gatherings in all forms, including religious gatherings, should be avoided.

With this in mind, we will now be suspending all of our church activities with immediate effect until further notice. This means that there will be no meetings taking place within the church. This is a very difficult decision for us to close our church, however, your heath and safety is at the forefront of our minds.

This decision will obviously have implications for our fellowship, the care of those who are vulnerable, our finances and our scheduled programmes.

In the interim we will use the prayer line to foster our worship and ministry. We will meet on the prayer line on the following days and times:

Sunday                       09.00 am until 10.00 am
Wednesday                6.00 am until 6.30 am
Wednesday                7.30 pm until 8.00 pm
Friday                          6.00 am until 6.30 am

The prayer line number is 0330 606 0182 followed by access code 988480 #.
In addition to the prayer line, teaching sessions will be on Facebook and then uploaded to you-tube for viewing at your convenience.  To access these, please log into you-tube using Brixtonntcg and press subscribe.

Thank you for your faithfulness in giving over the years; your continued financial support is vital for us to maintain our ministry. The following are ways in which you can continue to give your tithes and offerings:

By Bank (BACS) – Sort Code: 60-03-36 – Account number: 02486040

2 Faster payment – using your mobile phone or online banking, using the details as above.

3 By cheque – made payable to New Testament Church of God

4 By Standing order – instructing the bank to make regular payments on your behalf

Alternatively, Use the payment option below.

This crisis compels us to intensify our care for those who are vulnerable and less fortunate among us; let us use every opportunity to be of help to them, in particular those who are senior and/or housebound. For help or support please ring:

07543 590 455 (office) or 020 7175 9708 (direct line to Rev Millicent).

Of equal importance is your own spiritual growth and development, and to this end we encourage you to spend time reading God’s Word and nurturing your prayer life. In addition, please use the opportunity to access religious broadcasts on various networks.

Finally, let me remind you not to fall victim to fear and panic but to keep Hope alive for our great God is in control and ultimately, He will get the Glory out of all of this.

Stand firm, stay safe, and by God’s grace we will return stronger from this crisis.

God’s blessings always,

Bishop E A Brown Signature

LETTER-HEADER

30th April 2020

Dear Brothers, Sisters & Friends Christian greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus.

The past five weeks have been rather challenging for our fellowship, but by God’s Grace we are keeping together primarily through the prayer line we established five years ago. We meet eleven times per week in half hour sessions and on Sundays for 1 hour. Attendances are very good and in spite of the occasional disruption, our worship and sharing of the words have been a blessing.

The leadership join me and Rev Millicent in thanking you for your support and co-operation in these trying times.

In an effort to improve our time together and to enrich our worship experience, we propose to switch to zoom, a social media platform to deliver our services including Bible Studies. Our Media Team, under the leadership of Sister Jennifer Bryan, have registered our church on this platform. It has capacity for five hundred participants. The CPC and ministry teams have tried it out and we are ready to use it beginning Monday 11th May at 9.15am. Our early morning prayer on Wednesdays and Fridays will continue to be over the telephone using the present number.

The information to set up zoom is attached; please read it carefully and follow the instructions depending on whether you wish to use your landline, mobile phone, tablet or computer for these sessions.

Sister Jennifer Bryan is more than willing to help anyone who may be having difficulty setting up zoom. She may be contacted on 07956 689 055. Please remember also that your children and/or grandchildren can assist you in setting this up, so please ask their assistance if necessary.

When we launch our ministry, it will go worldwide and we must do everything in our power to properly represent Christ and His Church.

Please keep safe and well.

God’s richest blessings.

Yours sincerely,
Bishop E A Brown Signature
